Fallout 5 – What Fans Really Expect From Bethesda

Fallout 5 is likely in the works and there are plenty of expectations from fans

Fallout 4 may not have been a perfect game, but fans were quite content with what it had to offer to hardcore Fallout fans. Fallout 76, on the other hand, failed to impress mostly due to corporate decision making as well as shoddy development. Fans are now patiently waiting for Fallout 5, which is still a year or two away from the looks of it. So, what is it that we want from Fallout 5 after a disastrous Fallout 76 release?

What We Want From Fallout 5

As fans, we cannot help but feel that Fallout 76 didn’t quite scratch the classic RPG we all have. The Outer Worlds released this year, and it was made by the original Obsidian developers who created Fallout: New Vegas. It is a fantastic game and a reminder of what older Fallout games used to be like. We recommend giving the game a shot while we wait for Fallout 5. Read about more upcoming games too, Forza Horizon 5, Dragon Age 4.

Coming back to Bethesda’s own franchise, we do not know for certain if a new Fallout 5 game is in the works in the first place. As of now, Bethesda’s focus will be on fixing Fallout 76 unless they decide to jump ship and start working on the sequel.

DOOM Eternal faced some development issues, and Bethesda will be vesting its resources into the game until it releases next year. Next up is Elder Scrolls 6, which will most likely be part of the next-gen PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett consoles. Fallout 5 is at least two or three years away unless it becomes a number one priority out of nowhere.

Karma System: One thing we all want to see again is the karma system that made us question our choices throughout the game. It was part of Fallout 3, but Fallout 4 did not feature it. Hopefully, it comes back in Fallout 5 since it is a fan-favorite feature.

If your world does not change based on the choices you make, does it really feel fun? Dishonored is also from Bethesda, and the developers have retained the choice-based gameplay in the franchise right from the first title. There is no reason for Fallout to be any different as it adds to the different layers of gameplay.

Co-op Gameplay: Let’s face it, no one likes Fallout 76 for the most part. While the idea was great in theory, Bethesda’s implementation of online gameplay in a Fallout game could have been done much better. Co-op gameplay in Fallout would definitely be a welcome change. We do not need PvP if the game cannot offer great PvE in the first place.

Dialogues: Fallout’s storytelling lately has been a miss. We want more dialogue options and have conversations feel a little more meaningful. We have seen what Bethesda is capable of with games like Dishonored, Fallout: New Vegas, and Skyrim. We want similar experiences as its older classics instead of a downward spiral.

These are pretty much all the things we as fans want from Fallout 5. Let us know if there is anything you would like to get from the game. Read Next: Max Payne 4.
