They have already released the trailer for the remake — which by the way, looks fantastic on all counts! The work and improvements can be seen and felt from the trailer. Not only they have changed how the game looks but also going to make changes to the gameplay. The remake is known as Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

Things We Learned From The Announcement

The first Resident Evil 3: Nemesis was first launched in 1999 – 20 years from now.

Will the story change in the new game?

The story of the new Resident Evil will stay the same as it was first released. This means you will get to see the protagonist Jill Valentine to fight zombie hordes. The game will also take place in Raccoon City. You will also witness other enemies, including Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service(U.B.C.S.) militia.

Lastly, you will also meet Mr. X, Tyrant — the horror machine that became popular 20 years ago.

At the core, the gameplay will also not change that much. You still need to ensure that you manage the ammo properly. Yes, it will have the survival aspect included. After all, this is what makes Resident Evil games such a great experience.

The new game, however, will utilize the new RE Engine that will bring great visuals to the game. We have already seen it in action in the Resident Evil 2 game.

Pre-order and Bundles

You can start pre-ordering the game right away. The standard edition of the game can be purchased from different outlets and online stores. However, the Resident Evil 3 Collectors Edition will only be available at Gamestop. The collector’s edition will contain a hardcover art book, Jill Valentine figure, and the Resident Evil 3 game copy. You will also get the Resident Evil and a double-sided poster.
