Where to Find the Foxes?
Foxes are among the rarer species of animals available in Minecraft compared to other animals. These are exclusively available in the Taiga biomes – you know, the colder forests that you can find on the surface. The Taiga biomes are divided into three regions or variants – normal, snowy, and giant tree Taigas.

Also, depending on where you are searching, there are color variants for the foxes. For example, in the snowy region, you will be able to locate the white foxes whereas the other two areas are home to red (rather orange) foxes.

How to Tame one of the Foxes?
You cannot tame a fox in Minecraft if it is an adult. So you will need to find a baby. The best way would be to make two foxes breed and create a new baby fox for you. In order to do this, you will need to feed a sweet berry each to both foxes whom you want as parents for the baby fox. After eating the sweet berry from you, you will need to wait a while for the two foxes to mate and your new baby fox to hatch.
Note: As you can guess. If you want a white fox, make sure its parents are white as well. Similarly, red fox parents will create a red baby fox. However, if you feed one red and one white fox, then you have a 50-50 chance that the baby fox can be either red or white.
After it has hatched, it will be loyal to you and follow you around. But the thing is, it will also want to follow other foxes and play around with the other members of its species. If you want it to solely focus on you, then you will need to attach a lead to the baby fox and walk it away from the leash of foxes.
If you have not created a lead before, it is super simple. All you will need is four strings and one slimeball. Alternatively, you can search around in the wild and should run into a lead quite frequently.
Once no other fox is in its field of vision, the young baby will be attached to you alone and follow you around. And there you go, you now have a pet fox in Minecraft.
