ARK can be very overwhelming, and when you awaken for the first time and stare at the sun, your character will feel disoriented and hungry. As you go around the starting region, you will be introduced to the survival systems of the game. Try to understand how levelling and experience work.

You also want to learn the map well, so you know where to escape from in case you are jumped. Try to find blueprints to craft new items from cargo drops. Engrams, on the other hand, are handed to you as you keep levelling up, so ensure that you constantly work towards raising your level.
