OnePlus Teases Renders of Its Upcoming OnePlus 7T Ahead of Its Launch

Flagship killer OnePlus 7T is set to be officially launched on September 26 but for those who cannot wait to find out what’s in store, OnePlus has teased renders of the upcoming device. CEO Pete Lau shared some official images that show off OnePlus 7T’s gradient blue chassis. There have been leaks doing the rounds recently that hinted at a circular camera module with three camera lenses, the new renders finally confirmed the leaks.

The new OnePlus 7T’s blue gradient is very similar to the One Plus 7 Pro’s Nebula Blue color scheme. There are some visible design changes which include a lighter shade of blue on the rear panel along with curved edges to help users grip the phone better.

The renders were posted by Pete Lau on Twitter while OnePlus made an official design schematic post in the official forums. Lau revealed that the OnePlus 7T will feature a smooth matte surface with “brilliant metallic radiance”. He also revealed how the upcoming smartphone went through fifty design iterations before the final design was selected.

The circular camera module will feature a telephoto lens as well as a wide-angle lens. The combination of 17mm, 26mm, and 51mm lenses will allow the smartphone to achieve 2X optical zoom without requiring a moving scope. The 48 MP camera which will be powered by the primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture offers better support for low light photos. The ultra-wide-angle camera will allow users to take 120-degree FOV photos.

The other key specifications of the OnePlus 7T include a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, 8GB RAM, and up to 256 GB internal storage. The phone will be powered by a 3,800 mAh battery and a 30W Warp charger will be bundled with the package. The phone will feature a 90Hz refresh rate display similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro.
