Things We Learned From The Announcement

  • The announcement is made at Sony’s State of Play Livestream.
  • The game also includes a multiplayer survival component Resident Evil Resistance. It is a 4vs1.
  • The announcement was somewhat expected considering leaks were made almost a week ago.

The first Resident Evil 3: Nemesis was first launched in 1999 – 20 years from now.

Will the story change in the new game?

The story of the new Resident Evil will stay the same as it was first released. This means you will get to see the protagonist Jill Valentine to fight zombie hordes. The game will also take place in Raccoon City. You will also witness other enemies, including Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service(U.B.C.S.) militia.

Lastly, you will also meet Mr. X, Tyrant — the horror machine that became popular 20 years ago.

At the core, the gameplay will also not change that much. You still need to ensure that you manage the ammo properly. Yes, it will have the survival aspect included. After all, this is what makes Resident Evil games such a great experience.

The new game, however, will utilize the new RE Engine that will bring great visuals to the game. We have already seen it in action in the Resident Evil 2 game.
