Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of An Elusive Age will launch globally on September 27th. The title is priced at $59.99, which is on par with its PC and PS4 counterparts. Nintendo holds full publishing rights instead of Square Enix which has led to some availability issues.

Not all international markets will get access to the title due to distribution problems. If physical copies are not available, you will have to rely on digital purchases only. Dragon Quest XI S will not be available in India and some other countries where Nintendo does not officially market or distribute its consoles and games. However, imported copies can easily be acquired locally.

Pre-Load Info and New Content

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of An Elusive Age is up for preloading and it will take up less than 14 GB of your storage space. Nintendo seems to have cut corners in the graphics department to let the popular title run smoothly on its portable console. The PS4 version of the title the takes up well over 30GB which is massive. Nintendo is targeting constant 30fps on the Switch.

The game will also get new content that was not available at the launch last year on PC and PS4. The exclusive story content has not been detailed yet and we will know the full details only after launch. Dragon Quest has always been a solid choice for RPG fans and the definitive edition of the latest title is definitely worth picking up.

2D Mode

2D Mode is an exciting new mechanic that lets you go back to locations you have been in past titles. For those fans who have played through all previous Dragon Quest titles, it will be one great nostalgia trip. There are going to be some random encounters as well just like any other Dragon Quest game.
